McDonald's or Burger King and why?
Neither! Who knows what goes in to them? On the rare occasions I eat fast food it’ll be Thai, Indian or Middle Eastern. Or onion rings. I know what goes into an onion ring!
What's the funniest movie you've ever seen?
Oh …. so many! ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson made me laugh out loud.
Do you prefer card games or board games?
Board games. Trivial Pursuit, Balderdash, Encore, Scrabble, Cranium … we have a cupboard full and bring them out at Christmas.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I like to think I can paint … if smearing blobs of paint on canvas is a talent.
What's your favorite bumper sticker?
Where I come from, we don’t have bumper stickers! Sorry …
If parents say, "Never take candy from strangers" then why do we celebrate Halloween?
In the Middle East where I live Halloween is not celebrated as enthusiastically as it is in the States and Canada so I have often wondered how parents justify why it is okay to bend the rules several times in an evening by accepting treats from total strangers. It scares me to see young kids roaming around knocking on random doors, demanding treats and if not satisfied threatening to shove dog-poo and whatnot over the fence or chuck eggs at cars. It is sad to see that what was once a fun celebration has in some places become a cause for concern, especially for the elderly.
Do you like to sing in the shower?
Yes. All the time, but only when no one is in the house because being told I sound like a drowning parrot doesn’t do much for my ego. (I can sing by the way … very nicely according to the choirs I’ve joined!)
What is the wallpaper on your computer?
A photo of a fabulous house in Mallorca where my husband and I would like to grow old disgracefully!

AUTHOR BIO
Janna Gray grew up in Ceylon (Sri
Lanka) and was educated at boarding schools in Kodaikanal, South India and Derbyshire,
England. She trained to be a teacher in Londonwhere she met and married her husband
Simon. His job took them to Singapore, Hong Kongand Thailand where she raised two sons,
worked at British and International schools andwrote articles for newspapers and
magazines.
Currently living in the UAE, Janna was
the Senior Mistress (a title which caused much merriment among her colleagues!) and
Head of Pastoral Care at Repton School beforetrading her marking pens and report
cards for the world of writing novels. She enjoystravelling and sailing and had a
love-hate relationship with exercise until she discoveredthe joy of Zumba where the trainers
turn a blind eye to her inability to remember dance
sequences. She sings in the shower and
with choirs, has an allergy to golf and recentlydiscovered the allure of oils and
acrylics – a delightfully messy way to express her inner artist.
