Book Description:

Lily lost her beloved second daughter years ago and was determined to spend every waking moment making memories with Hope and Jax. Christmas was no exception and a favored holiday. However, Lily's faith was shaken and left in pieces when tragedy struck; leaving Hope battered and in a coma. On Christmas Eve after a month of no improvement and Hope's health declining, doctor's suggest taking her off of life support. Lily was devastated and questioned everything she believed in life; including God.

Twelve years old, Hope enters into a paradise she had heard of so many times in her life. While there, she meets the One who knows all and controls all. She meets some unexpected people while learning of her life's important purpose; to help her mother truly find the love of the Lord.

Why would he love Lily so much but put her through so much heartache by taking another child away? Why would God give such an important task to such a young girl who had so much to learn about life? Would each of them learn to live with the differences set before them in life?

Looking for a new book? Check these out...

Below is a list of books which I recommend you give a try the next time you're looking for a book to read. If you decide to purchase and read any of the books listed below, please consider posting a review for the book on Amazon and other sites where it's listed. Thank you.

I loved this book. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading about the end of the world events.

Here is my review ...

Broken Earth is an entirely new world than what we know. Present day life is over and a new life style has begun. Disease takes over and there is only one thing left for Jess to do... survive. She does everything in her power to stay alive while gangs run rapid throughout the area and the disease has killed everyone older then 25 years old. The violence is creeping around each corner.

Jess isn't alone though. She has her best friend Ian and his younger sister, Lucie. As they are traveling to the promised land, they run into Molly. Each of them use their survival skills to stay alive during their trials.

Jess is faced with a brutal rape and what lies within her future has me wanting more. This book is one that I couldn't put down. Once I started reading it, I had to finish it. I loved the suspense and the characters. I would say that Jess would be my favorite so far. I think if you're looking for a fast paced, yet interesting read, this would be your pick.

I can't wait until the next one and I highly recommend this as a read.

This book helps to bring awareness to a matter in life no one likes to face... the death of a child. In this true story, Jamie takes the reader with her on her journey as she became an angel Mom. I recommend this if you're looking for a true story and one that will grab and pull you in. Warning be sure you have some tissues for this one.

Here is my review:

Where do I even begin? I lost my daughter three weeks ago. She was a stillborn. I was gifted this book to read. At first I wasn't sure if I could read it due to the fact that I'm going through the same thing the author tells within her story. However, curiosity got the best of me and I began reading. I'm very glad that I did.

This is a raw true story of the pain a mother endured with the loss of her baby girl. She gives it to the reader and doesn't sugar coat, which I am happy with that. I felt her pain and wanted to cry out for her. At times I felt like I was right there beside her, watching the story unfold right in front of my eyes.

The book is very well written and can give a small view into the world a mother enters with the loss of a child. I recommend this book to everyone. This book can help give hope to the Momma's who are going through the same thing and can give people who haven't a small bit of what mothers are going through when they are faced with the loss of a child.

Tuesday's Tip

I do a lot of surfing on the web. The type of information I look for varies depending on what I am looking into. Most of the time, it's writing related. I have had my share of checking out different websites for authors who will remain unknown. As I was looking/reading/looking around, I noticed several websites lacked one important aspect and that's what I am going to discuss today.

I feel, as a writer myself, there are certain elements every writer should have on their blogs or websites. First element that I've seen the most that was missing from several blogs was a way for readers to connect with the author. As an avid reader, I love it when I can send an email to an author telling them that I loved their work or to invite them to appear here on The Writing World.

I have run into the situation where I wanted to express how I enjoyed an author's work and couldn't find any email address or contact form to get in touch with them. This sort of made me feel, as the reader, the author didn't want to hear from the readers. (Remember this is in my opinion). So, I suggest making it clear how your fans can reach you and make it easy. I hate jumping from this website and that website just to find an email address or another way to contact the author.

So there's you Tuesday Tip.

Thank you for stopping by and hanging out with us for a bit. Have a wonderful day.

Intro

This blog is mainly an extension from my main website for my writings. My website is: http://raebethmcgee.weebly.com/index.html

Feel free to take a look.

To update everyone with what's going on, I have asked a few close friends of mine to help me edit my first book and get it publish ready. But unfortunately, they didn't come through. So, I am re-reading it for the millionth time to make sure all mistakes are fixed. In addition to this, I am also writing the second part of Silenced. I'm coming along with it slowly. So far just the second part has taken me close to two years to complete. Yes, very time consuming.

In addition to writing my novel, I am also writing articles to post here on my blog. Lots of research involved there. I am also thinking of starting a critique group in the area where I live so those writer's around me can all get together and have their work critiqued by other writers. Hopefully, I can find all the support and help I need with starting this group.

As for now, I will continue with my personal goals that I set for this year and my writing.  You may also find articles that I will repost (with the orginial author noted within the blog) that I found interesting.

Well, that's all for now. Thanks for reading.
